Regular price $325.00

On July 4, 1910 in Reno, Nevada heavyweight champion Jack Johnson defended his title against former champion James J. Jeffries. This was a widely anticipated bout. Johnson completely outclassed Jeffries and stopped him in defense of his crown. Offered here is a rare, souvenir postcard with racial overtones predicting, "Won't It Be A LIGHT Fourth Of July If The Eclipse Looks Like This? The postcard suggests Jeffries will be the winner.
This is an original, unused, F & W postcard picturing Jeffries at the forefront and Johnson partially pictured behind him. Bold color and print. Bold, clear images. Corner creasing. Corner wear. Tape on back reinforcing two corners. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2." Very scarce issue and original to 1910.

Size: 3 1/2 x 5 1/2
