LAMOTTA, JAKE-OSCAR HARRIS I OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1944)

On January 28, 1944 at the Olympia Stadium in Detroit middleweights Jake LaMotta and Oscar Harris fought in the featured match. LaMotta won a controversial ten round split decision. Detroit Free Press reported that the majority of fans, booing lustily, felt that Harris deserved the verdict. Offered here is a very scarce, original, official program for this event.
