Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired for good after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Offered here is an original, circa 1920's cigar box for Flor Fina cigars which was endorsed by Benny Leonard.
This is an original and intact wooden cigar box. Benny Leonard name on the top and a colorful picture of Leonard in fight pose along with his name when you open the lid. Intact. Exterior and interior surface wear. Mild water stains. The open lid display is bold and sharp. 9" x 5" x 3." Exceptionally rare.
