Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Many consider Benny Leonard the greatest Jewish fighter of all time. Offered here is a rare on site poster for an exhibition done by Benny Leonard on May 23, 1923 in Chicago for the United Drive News.
This poster is paper and names Leonard and pictures his membership card for the United Drive News. No tack holes. No creases or tears. Very minor soiling. Minor edge and corner wear. 11" x 16 1/2."
