LEONARD, BENNY & WILLIE RITCHIE & OTHERS LARGE FORMAT PHOTO (1918)

Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's.Willie Ritchie was born on February 13, 1891 in San Francisco, California. He won the World Lightweight Title on November 28, 1912 from Ad Wolgast. He retired after a bout with Dick Hoppe on August 29 1927 with a final record of 49-11-15 with 9 KO's.Presented here is an antique photo of Ritchie,Leonard,Jim Coffroth and Billy Gibson meeting before an exibition bout between Leanard and Ritchie to benifit charity in 1918.
This photo measures 11 inches by 14 inches.The photo has several chips and small pieces missing from the borders.The back has paper reinfored tape and a typed paper stating info on the picture dated 1918.The piece is somewhat fragile.THe scan does not show the border damage as previously stated.The image is vivid.
