HISTORY: Ted "Kid" Lewis was born on October 24, 1894 in London, England. He defeated Jack Britton on August 31, 1915 to win the World Welterweight Title. He also held the British Featherweight, British Welterweight and British Empire Welterweight Titles. He retired after defeating Johnny Basham on December 13, 1929 with a final record of 215-44-24 with 71 KO's. Presented here is an original, hand written and signed letter by Ted "Kid" Lewis. Dated stamped May 30, 1928. Lewis discusses travel to the United States and several fights he has upcoming after coming out of the hospital. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, ink, hand written letter. Two pages. Mounted to heavy stock paper. Not creased. Clean. Each page has a small tack hole, not really affecting the text. 5" x 11."
