On October 23, 1962 at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas heavyweights Cleveland "Big Cat" Williams and Dave Bailey fought in the featured match. New heavyweight champion Sonny Liston acted as referee. Williams knocked out Bailey in the 5th round.
