LOGART, ISAAC STILLMAN'S GYM ROOM LOCKER PASS (1961)

JO Sports, Inc.

Regular price $75.00

HISTORY: Isaac Logart was a Welterweight contender during the late 1950s. He faced Virgil Akins in a 1958 Welterweight title eliminator, with the winner to face Vince Martinez for the vacant title. Logart, who was given a good chance of winning, was stopped in the 6th round by Akins, who would go onto defeat Martinez for the title. Logart was never able to regain his lofty ranking following the loss, and eventually became a capable trialhorse for aspiring Welterweights and Middleweights. Logart resided in New York City after his boxing career ended. He would die in New York in 1988. Presented here is the original locker room pass for Isaac Logart for October 8, 1961 at Stillman's Gym in New York City.
