HISTORY: On November 12, 1935 at Wembley in London former world light heavyweight champion Tommy Loughran, fighting as a heavyweight, took on Maurice Strickland in the featured match. Loughran won a unanimous ten round decision.
Offered here is an original hand written letter penned on October 8, 1935 by Tommy Loughran to a relative in England (also named Tommy Loughran) in which he indicates he is giving him tickets for the fight.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a two page, original, hand written letter by Tommy Loughran. Boldly penned in ink and signed "Tommy" in closing. Has some notations on page two not relating to letter. Has one original fold. Some soiling. Rare with references to his upcoming fight as well as his mother and a cousin Joe Loughran. 5 1/4" x 7."
