HISTORY: Joe Louis was born on May 13, 1914 in Lafayette, Alabama. On June 22, 1937 he won the World Heavyweight Title from James J. Braddock. He retired after losing to Rocky Marciano on October 26, 1951. His final record was 63-3. Offered here is an original, boxing bronze of Joe Louis entitled "THE BROWN BOMBER." A limited edition (12/1000) by Ralph Crawford.

Bronze figure using the "lost wax" process. 13 inches high weighing over 6 lbs. When first issued this artwork was offered to the public for $5,675.00. Scarce, the first we have offered.
