LOUIS, JOE TRAINING CAMP PENNANT (1948)

Joe Louis was born on May 13, 1914 in Lafayette, Alabama. On June 22, 1937 he won the World Heavyweight Title from James J. Braddock. He retired after losing to Rocky Marciano on October 26, 1951. His final record was 63-3. Presented here is a Joe Louis training camp pennant from 1948. Louis was preparing for his fight with Walcott.
This Joe Louis training camp pennant from 1948 is 8" x 24 1/2." There are two rips along the left edge and the right corner has been torn. There are tack holes along the edges. There is some fading in the pennant.
