MACHEN, EDDIE-MIKE DEJOHN ORIGINAL WEIGHIN WIRE PHOTO (1961)

On September 16, 1961 at the War memorial Auditorium in Syracuse, new York heavyweights Eddie Machen and local favorite Mike DeJohn squared off in the main event. Machen won the fight by TKO in round nine. DeJohn was knocked down three times in the 9th, forcing an automatic stoppage. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting the weighin just prior to the fight.
