HISTORY: Sammy Mandell, born Samuel Mandella on February 5, 1904 in Rockford, Illinois. Began his professional career on January 14, 1920. His career spanned over 14 years with his last bout on June 27, 1934. His career record was 147-26-13 and 1 no contest. Mandell won the World Lightweight Title from Rocky Kansas on July 3, 1926. He lost it to Al Singer on July 17, 1930. He posted career victories over Jimmy McLarnin, Tony Canzoneri, Jackie Fields, Sid Terris and Billy Petrolle. Presented here is a signed abum page of Sammy Mandell which is signed on the reverse by contender Eddie Shea. The collection of former boxer Gunner Swane.
