HISTORY: Rocky Marciano was the first and only man to win the Heavyweight Title and retire unbeaten. His record, a perfect 49-0, included victories over Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Joe Louis and Archie Moore. Marciano was and continues to be one of the most popular champions of all time.Presented here is a hand written and signed letter from Marciano to future wife Barbara Cousins in 1949. FULL DESCRIPTION: This 2 page letter measures 6 inches by 9 1/4 inches for each page.The two pages have writing in pencil on both sides.Signed "Roc" at the end.This piece includes the original envelope and mailing adress of Barbara Cousins in Brocktom,Mass.The letter is on stationary from the William Sloane House Y.M.C.A. in New York City.The pencil writing is clean and easily read.Rocky talks about training and going out to see entertainer Vic Damone.Great piece postmarked 1949. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with their full letter with cert # AN07259.
