On August 28,1952 at Madison Square Garden in New York future champion Rocky Marciano met Harry Mathews in a heavyweight bout. Marciano won the bout by KO in the 2nd round. Presented here is an original wire photo of the two squaring off with then heavyweight champion Jersey Joe Walcott looking on at the contract signing for the fight on July 14, 1952 in New York.
