HISTORY: Rocky Marciano (born Rocco Francis Marchegiano; September 1, 1923 – August 31, 1969) was an American professional boxer and the World Heavyweight Champion from September 23, 1952, to April 27, 1956. Marciano is the only champion to hold the heavyweight title and go untied and undefeated throughout his career. Marciano defended his title six times. Offered here is an original advertising standee of Rocky Marciano and James J. Corbett for Daviess County Kentucky bourbon. 

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, cardboard, advertising standee which pictures both James J. Corbett and Rocky Marciano in full fight poses. Includes a raised image of Daviess County Kentucky bourbon. Standee is unused and has the original stand on the back. Bold color and print. Bold, clear images. Clean front and back. Light crease at Marciano's right foot. Very minor edge wear. Irregularly shaped to 13 1/2" x 20." Issued by Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, The Fleischman Distributor Corporation, New Hyde Park, NY. Exceedingly rare. We have never seen or offered another.
