HISTORY: On September 24,1953 Rocky Marciano defended his World Heavyweight Title against Roland La Starza. This was the second time these two men had fought. Marciano would retain his title with a 11th round TKO over the game, but overmatched La Starza. The fight was held at the Polo Grounds in New York. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting Marciano at his training camp for this fight on August 10, 1953 displaying his weapons.
