Rocky Marciano was born on September 1, 1923 in Brockton, Mass. On September 23, 1952 he won the World Heavyweight Title from Jersey Joe Walcott. He retired as champion on April 27, 1956 with a final record of 49-0 with 43 KO's. Rocky Marciano died tragically on August 31, 1969 in an airplane crash.
