HISTORY: Joey Maxim was born on March 28, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio. On May 23, 1949 he was the American Light Heavyweight Title in a bout with Gus Lesnevich. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title on January 24, 1950 from Freddie Mills. He retired after losing to Ulli Ritter on May 17, 1958 with a final record of 82-29-4 with 21 KO's.     

Offered here is an original International Boxing Hall Of Fame Cover envelope from June 12, 1994 which has been signed by Joey Maxim.
