William "Honey" Mellody (January 15, 1884 – March 2, 1919) was an American boxer who took the vacant Welterweight Championship of the World on October 16, 1906, defeating former champion Joe Walcott in a fifteen-round points decision in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Offered here is an original cabinet card of Honey Mellody.
This is an original cabinet card with photographer stamp for Elmer Chickering on the mount. Bold, clear image of Mellody in period dress. Not creased or torn. Clean with no staining. Trimmed on sides. 3 1/4" x 6 1/4."
