MIMS, HOLLY-MOSES WARD ORIGINAL WIRE PHOTO (1954)

On March 3, 1954 at the Olympia Stadium in Detrit middleweights Holly Mims and Moses Ward battled in the main event. Mims won a very close ten round split decision. "While the decision was unpopular with the small crowd....it was deserved." (United Press). Offered here is an original wire photo depicting 4th round action in the fight.
