Luis Molina (October 11, 1938 – April 20, 2013)was an American boxer. He competed in the lightweight event at the 1956 Summer Olympics. Luis Molina had many accomplishments; he was in the Marine Core he joined the Boxing team and was the 1st Marine to go to the Olympics in 1956. He won the inner service boxing title and the All Marine title 3 years in a row. He also won the Hawaiian territorial title before Hawaii became a State. He was also rated number 1 in the world in his weight division. Molina defeated some of the best in the world including: Joe Brown, Cisco Andrade, Joey Lopes, Manuel Gonzalez, Booby Scanlon and Len Matthews, but never got a title shot. He was the pride of San Jose as their hometown boxing champion. He was very proud of all his children; as well as his sons who are ministers. He had a great sense of humor and spent the rest of his life as a self-employed welder. Offered here is an original album page which has been boldly signed by Luis Molina.
