MOORE, ARCHIE-YVON DURELLE FIGHT ENVELOPE (1958)

On December 10, 1958 at the Forum in Montreal, Canada light heavyweight champion Archie Moore fought Yvon Durelle. In one of the historic fights in boxing history Moore knocked Durelle out in the 11th round in defense of his title. Moore was down three times in the first, and once in fourth. Moore got up and put Durelle down four times for win.Offered here is an original fight envelope from Archie Moore's Training Camp advertising this event.
This is an original fight envelope which was used years later by Moore to correspond with boxing trainer Buddy Ey. Bold image on front with facsimile signature of Durelle. Not creased or torn. Clean. 4 1/8" x 9 1/2."
