MOORE, ARCHIE-YVON DURELLE II FULL TICKET (1959)

On August 12, 1959 at the Forum in Montreal, Canada world light heavyweight champion Archie Moore defended his title against Canadian favorite Yvon Durelle. This was a rematch from their December, 1958 match which had both fighters down four times before Moore prevailed. In this rematch Moore took care of business early and knocked Durelle out in the 3rd round. Durelle was knocked down four times in the 3rd. Offered here is a rare, full, unused ticket for this event which was originally scheduled for July 15, 1959, but was pushed back one month.
This is an original, full, unused ticket which pictures both fighters and is numbered. Stub is fragile, but attached. Some discoloration. Not creased or torn. Clean front and back. Images are bold and clear. 3" x 6 3/4."
