Michael Moorer began his professional boxing career on March 4, 1988. He defeated Ramzi Hassan 0n December 3, 1988 to win the vacant WBO Light Heavyweight Title. He defeated Bert Cooper on May 15, 1992 to win the WBO Heavyweight Title. On April 22, 1994 he won the World Heavyweight Title outpointing then champion Evander Holyfield in 12 rounds. He lost that title to George Foreman after being stopped in the 10th round on November 5, 1994. Presented here is a Michael Moorer amateur program from March 5, 1987, US vs. USSR. The cover was signed by Pernell Whitaker.
