HISTORY: Philadelphia Jack O'Brien was born on January 17, 1878 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He won the Light Heavyweight Title from Bob Fitzsimmons on December 20, 1905. He retired after fighting Ben Koch on June 17, 1912 with a final record of 148-12-19 with 51 KO's. Presented here is an original signed, boudoir cabinet card of Philadelphia Jack O'Brien. Inscribed to Dr. Walter Jacobs, who among other things cast the fists of notable fighters of the era. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original boudoir cabinet card of Philadelphia Jack O'Brien at the height of his career in bust pose by the noted Fred Green of Boston. Bold, clear image. Clean. Boldly signed in fountain pen,  "To My Friend Dr. Walter Jacobs With best wishes Philadelphia Jack O'Brien 4/1/37." Not creased or torn. Minor edge wear. 5 1/4" x 7 1/4." Authenticated by PSA/DNA and comes with their full letter with cert # AL03758.
