HISTORY: On November 30, 1956 heavyweight contenders Floyd Patterson and Archie Moore fought for the vacant heavyweight title at Chicago Stadium. The title became vacant when Rocky Marciano retired as undefeated champion. Patterson knocked Moore out in the 5th round to win the title. Offered here is an original press kit which was distributed to the media prior to this event.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original press kit which contains numerous pages of information regarding the fighters, fight and venue. A two pocket four page style folder press kit with graphic depictions of the fighters on the cover. Tight binding. Clean inside and out. Not creased. Some foxing of covers from aging. Minor edge and surface wear. 9 1/2" x 12 1/2." Rare, the first we have offered from this fight.
