PEACOCK, BILLY-NATE BROOKS WIRE PHOTO (1954)

On February 8, 1954 at the Eastern Parkway Arena in New York Billy Peacock and Nate Brooks fought for the North American Bantamweight Title. Brooks prevailed stopping Peacock in the 8th round. Peacock was knocked down twice in the 8th. Referee Scalzo stopped the bout at the end of the round, on advice from the ringside physician.
