QUARRY, JERRY ORIGINAL PHOTO (FROM PATTERSON II FIGHT-1967)

On October 28, 1967 Floyd Patterson and Jerry Quarry met at the Olympic Boxing Club in Los Angeles. The two had fought to a draw in June and in this rematch at stake was advancement to the finals of the WBA Heavyweight Championship Tournament (title had been vacant when Ali was stripped). Quarry prevailed with a 12 round decision to advance. Presented here is an original, first generation photograph of Jerry Quarry during action in his fight with Floyd Patterson.
