After a couple of trips to a steam box, he was able to make the welterweight limit. This was Robinson's last fight as a welterweight. Robinson was paid one dollar for the Fusari fight. The rest of his purse went to the Damon Runyon Memorial Fund for Cancer Research. In his autobiography, Robinson claimed that he agreed to carry Fusari the 15-round distance. Offered here is an extremely rare souvenir pin for this event.
