On March 4, 1961 at the Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada Sugar Ray Robinson and Gene Fullmer fought for the 4th and final time with Fullmer's middleweight title on the line. In their three previous meetings each had a win and their third fight in 1960 ended in a draw. In this fight Fullmer retained his title winning a unanimous 15 round decision over the aging Robinson. Offered here is an original on site poster for this event.
This is an original, cardboard, on site poster which pictures Gene Fullmer. One of several on site versions. Bold color and print. Bold, clear image. Minor edge wear and surface wear. Has a light water stain at center. Not creased. Staple holes on left border. 20 1/2" x 27 1/4." Rare version, the first we have had.
