On September 12, 1951 at the Polo Grounds in New York World Middleweight Champion Randy Turpin defended his title against the man he won it from several months earlier, Sugar Ray Robinson. Robinson gained a measure of revenge and the title stopping Turpin in the 10th round of a hard fought battle. Offered here is an original wire photo showing Sugar Ray Robinson celebrating his victory over Turpin at his cafe in Harlem right after the fight.
