On June 5, 1950 at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia middleweights Sugar Ray Robinson and Frenchman Robert Villemain battled for the Pennsylvania version of the world middleweight title. Robinson won a unanimous 15 round decision. The official round-by-round scoring, all in favor of Robinson, was 12-3, 12-3, and 10-5. Villemain was down for a two-count in round 12. The undercard included rising Philadelphia stars Johnny Saxton and George Benton. Offered here is a rare, original, full ticket for this event.
This is an original, full ticket which pictures and names the fighters. Stamped "SAMPLE FOR INTERNAL REVENUE." Three hole punches. Stub firmly attached. One spot on back. One small crease. Bold color and print and bold, clear images. Minor edge and corner wear. 2 1/2" x 6 1/2."
