HISTORY: On October 29,1948 Sandy Saddler met World Featherweight champion Willie Pep for the Featherweight Title. Saddler would win the bout by KO in the 4th round. Pep entered the fight with a professional record of 134-1-1. Pep was a 3-1 betting favorite. A crowd of 14,685 paid $55,781.78. Pep received 50 percent of the net and Saddler 10 percent. Saddler dropped Pep twice for nine-counts in the third round and put him down for the count with a left hook in the fourth. Presented here is an original, official program for the bout.
