HISTORY: Tom Sharkey was born on November 26, 1873. During his career he fought Jim Corbett, Bob Fitzsimmons and Jim Jeffries among others. He fought Jim Jeffries for the heavyweight title in 1899 but lost the decision after 25 rounds. Presented here is a signed letter dated 1938 to Nat Fleischer.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This letter measures 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches.The letter has 3 folds across the middle.The letter also has some wrinkling mainly on the right side.The content is to Fleischer requesting to write a few articles for Ring magazine.The signature is in nink and clean.Dated 1938.
