HISTORY: Earnie Shavers was born on August 31, 1945 in Garland, Alabama. He fought Muhammad Ali on September 29, 1977 for the World Heavyweight Title and Larry Holmes on September 28, 1979 for the WBC Heavyweight Title. He was not victorious either time.
