On February 7, 1941 at Madison Square Garden in New York future world middleweight champion Billy Soose fought Ernie Vigh in the main event. Soose survived an 8th round knockdown to win a unanimous ten round decision. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting Vigh down in the 7th round.
