HISTORY: Young Jack Thompson was a Welterweight fighter who fought from 1922 thru 1932 and compiled a career record of 74-31-13. Thompson was an all-around fighter, a solid hitter who was shifty and fast; He had many action-packed fights in a short career; During his career, he won the Welterweight Championship of the World. He defeated such men as Jackie Fields, Tommy Freeman, Joe Dundee, Ham Jenkins, James "Red" Herring, Billy Alger, "Oakland" Jimmy Duffy, Harry "Kid" Brown, King Tut, Johnny Adams, "Bermondsey" Billy Wells, Pete August, Al Trulmans, Joe Cardoza, Jimmy Dolan, Freddie Fitzgerald, Sam Bruce, Jackie Silver, Don Fraser and Billy Light. Presented here is an original, ink signed album page by Young Jack Thompson which he has inscribed to former fighter Gunnar Swane. On the reverse this is signed by former flyweight world champion Fidel LaBarba.

On the reverse in ink this page is signed, "With Sincere Wishes to Gunnar Swane From Fidel LaBarba April 18-30 Chicago, Ill. Flyweight Champion." Both signatures are accompanied with small photos of the fighters. Not creased or torn. Slight toning from aging. Generally clean. 4 1/2" x 7 1/2." Young Jack Thompson is a quite rare signature.
