TIGER, DICK-GENE FULLMER FULL TICKET (1963)

On August 10, 1963 at Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, Nigeria WBA middleweight champion Dick Tiger defended his title against Gene Fullmer. They also fought for the vacant WBC middleweight title. Tiger stopped Fullmer in the 7th round. Fullmer's manager Merv Jensen asked to have the bout stopped after the seventh. The fight was originally scheduled for July 13, 1963, but was postponed for one month. Offered here is and original, full, unused ticket for this event.
This is an original, full, unused ticket which pictures both fighters. Bold color and print and clear images. Stub firmly attached. Clean. Creased. Has clear tape on front and back. 3 1/4" x 5 1/2." A rare ticket , the only we have seen.
