HISTORY: The competition for the United States Olympic boxing trials at Fort Worth, Texas, began with preliminary (qualifying) bouts June 4, 1984 and continuing through June 10, 1984. Mike Tyson participated in the heavyweight division, but was defeated in the finals by Henry Tillman. Offered here is an original training shirt worn by Mike Tyson during training sessions during the competition. Accessed from Tyson's assistant trainer (and assistant to Cud D'Amato) and comes with a full letter from that trainer.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, 1984 training shirt worn by Mike Tyson at the Olympic Trials during training sessions. In the collar is a partially torn manufacturer's tag from BMOC Casualwear. Size XL. Blue cotton and polyester with short sleeves. On the front are the words, 1984 UNITED STATES OLYMPIC BOXING TRIALS USA ABF. Shows modest wear. Some fading from aging. Perfectly intact. LOA from Tyson's assistant trainer at time. One of the earliest pieces of equipment from the career of Mike Tyson.
