HISTORY: "Irish" Mickey Ward was born on October 4, 1965 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He fought Vince Phillips on August 9, 1997 for the IBF Light Welterweight Title but was not victorious. Probably best known for his trilogy of fights with Arturo Gatti.
