On November 19, 1914 at the Auditorium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin future lightweight champion Freddie Welsh fought tough Charley White in the main event. Welsh won by ten round decision. This was a newspaper decision from the Milwaukee Free Press. In this amazing era of boxing this was one of seven fights Welsh would engage in over a five week period. Offered here is an original, first generation, panoramic photograph of this event. The photo shows most of the crowd in attendance with the fighters in the ring.
This is an original, first generation, mounted photograph on antique board. Photo by Kuhli Photo of Milwaukee and has their stamp at lower right. Bold, clear image. Clean front and back. Minor edge and corner wear. No creases or tears. A very fine photograph. 11 1/2" x 17 7/8."
