HISTORY: Jess Willard is best remembered today as the man whose controversial victory over Jack Johnson in 1915 granted a nation's antiquated yearnings for a "Great White Hope." Willard capitalized upon that adoration with a vaudeville act done in conjunction with the fabled Wild West Show of William Cody. He appeared in this show in 1917. Offered here is a rare felt pennant which advertised Jess Willard's appearance in the Buffalo Bill Show.
