He defended the title once before losing it to Jack Dempsey on July 4, 19191 in Toledo, Ohio. Offered here is an original souvenir watch fob of Jess Willard dating to his time as heavyweight champion.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, metallic souvenir watch fob. Colored American flags flank Willard's image. Engraved, "JESS WILLARD WORLD CHAMPION." Not scratched or pitted. Clean with sharp image. 1 5/8" in height by 1" wide. Rare, one of the few examples we have seen.
