HISTORY: Jess Willard, The Pottawatomie Giant, defeated Jack Johnson in Havana, Cuba on April 5, 1915 with a controversial KO in the 26th round to win the Heavyweight Title. He defended the title once before losing it to Jack Dempsey on July 4, 19191 in Toledo, Ohio. Offered here is an original souvenir watch fob of Jess Willard dating to his time as heavyweight champion. Still attached to original watch fob chain and Waltham pocket watch.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, metallic souvenir watch fob. Colored American flags flank Willard's image. Engraved, "JESS WILLARD WORLD CHAMPION." Not scratched or pitted. Clean with sharp image. 1 5/8" in height by 1" wide. Rare, one of the few examples we have seen. Still attached to original watch fob chain and the Waltham pocket watch. Watch has ornate engraving on back. Not a working watch.
