Tony Zale was born on May 29, 1913 in Gary, Indiana. He won the NBA Middleweight Title on July 19, 1940 from Al Hostak. On November 28, 1941 he won the vacant World Middleweight Title in a bout with Georgie Abrams. Zale is best remembered for his historic fights with Rocky Graziano. He retired after his last fight on September 21, 1948 with Marcel Cerdan where he lost the World Middleweight Title. His final record was 67-18-2. Presented here is an original date stamped International Boxing Hall Of Fame first day cover which has been signed by Tony Zale.
