ROBINSON, SUGAR RAY-GENE FULLMER I WIRE PHOTO (1957)

On January 2, 1957 World Middleweight Champion Sugar Ray Robinson defended his title at Madison Square Garden in New York. The younger, and strong and rugged Fullmer proved too much for Sugar Ray and won a 15 round decision and the title. Presented here is an antique wire photo from this bout. (BE)
This antique wire photo from the Robinson-Fullmer I bout is 7" x 9." The corners are slightly soft and there are small creases along the edges. There is some light soiling along the edges as well. No rips or tears.
