HISTORY: On March 20, 1982 at the Playboy Hotel & Casino NABF Heavyweight Champion Michael Dokes made his first title defense against Tommy Franco Thomas. Dokes stopped Thomas in the 5th round. Dokes was ranked 2nd by the WBC and 3rd by the WBA. Both fighters took the fight on short notice. Dokes dropped Thomas twice in the fifth round.
