On September 29, 1967 Nino Benvenuti defended his World Middleweight Title against Emile Griffith at Shea Stadium in Flushing, New York. Benvenuti won the title from Griffith on April 17, 1967 by 15 round decision. Griffith, already a 5 time world champion, was able to reverse the earlier loss to Benvenuti by successfully pounding out a 15 round decision. This would be Griffith 6th world title and his last. Presented here is the official program for this event which Emile Griffith has neatly signed on the cover.
