Henry Armstrong was born on December 12, 1912 in Columbus, Mississippi. He won the World Featherweight Title on October 29, 1937 from Petey Sarron. He then went on to win the World Welterweight Title from Barney Ross on May 31, 1938. 3 months later on August 17, 1938 he defeated Lou Ambers to win the World Lightweight Title. He retired after losing to Chester Slider on February 14, 1945 with a final record of 152-21-8 with 100 KO's. Beau Jack was born on April 1, 1921 in Augusta, Georgia. He won the New York World Lightweight Title on December 18, 1942 in a bout with Tippy Larkin. He retired after losing to Ike Williams on August 12, 1955 with a final record of 83-24-5 with 40 KO's. Presented here is a signed photo of Henry Armstrong and Beau Jack.
Henry Armstrong and Beau Jack have both boldly signed this 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" photo in blue marker. Beau Jack has inscribed it, "Best Wishes From Beau Jack." The photo is clean with no creases, rips or tears. There are tape marks along the edges of the back.
